 Marcelo N. Pappas focuses his practice on real estate transactional work. Marcelo represents lenders, purchasers, sellers, property managers, and developers in a wide range of commercial and residential real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, leasing, zoning, landlord-tenant issues, tax assessment reductions, and entity formation. Marcelo regularly assists clients in acquiring, renovating, financing, and managing multi-family and mixed-use properties in a variety of Chicago neighborhoods as well as the suburbs. Marcelo also represents clients in the leasing of office, retail and industrial space as well as in the negotiation and preparation of general contractor, architect and subcontractor agreements. Marcelo represents both lenders and borrowers in the preparation and negotiation of secured loan documents in connection with the acquisition and refinancing of real properties.
Marcelo received a Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. Marcelo is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
