Jason L. LaBellaJason L. LaBella has a broad real estate practice representing real estate owners, investors, developers, lenders and other real estate professionals in all areas of the real estate industry, including negotiating and structuring transactions. Mr. LaBella has represented clients in the purchase and sale (including 1031 exchanges) of single user commercial, industrial and retail properties; mixed-use and multi-tenant retail, office and industrial properties; multi-family and industrial portfolios; and downtown Chicago high rise projects. In addition, he has represented clients in the purchase and sale of distressed properties via short sales and deed-in-lieu transactions as well as foreclosure, REO (bank owned) and bankruptcy transactions. He has also worked with developers on a variety of residential and commercial condominium and multi-family development projects both in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Mr. LaBella has extensive experience representing both lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured loan transactions, including acquisition, bridge, construction, and mezzanine loans as well as loan workouts and distressed transactions. Further, he has represented landlords and tenants in several hundred lease transactions for retail (including national clients), restaurant, office, medical office and industrial premises along with ground lease transactions. Additionally, Mr. LaBella has represented clients in forming real estate joint ventures and raising private equity for real estate ventures.

Mr. LaBella received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from Penn State in 1992, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1997.
