Marc W. O'BrienMarc W. O’Brien has a wide business law practice and has extensive experience with corporate transactions, financial and bank transactions, real estate transactions and commercial litigation. Mr. O’Brien’s experience includes representing clients in acquiring and selling private aircraft and advising them with respect to related sales and use tax issues. He has also assisted clients in the formation of private charitable foundations and serves as outside general counsel to the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago and its various affiliated charitable entities. Mr. O’Brien received his Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School, where he graduated first in his class in 1984. Previously, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hope College in 1979. Following law school, Mr. O’Brien was a judicial law clerk for Judge David Linn of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. He is a member of the Illinois bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
