Michael M. Lorge practices in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate and contract law, construction law, family law, business succession, municipal matters and not-for-profit organizations. The hallmark of his practice is as a problem solver and pragmatic litigator. His litigation experience includes complex commercial litigation, including contract actions, shareholder disputes, product liability, consumer fraud, employment disputes, non-compete and trade secrets claims, and real estate disputes. Mr. Lorge has tried cases in both state and federal courts, as well as represented clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Lorge has been appointed by the Illinois Governor's Office as an Administrative Law Judge and has served as a special counsel to the Illinois Attorney General's Office. Mr. Lorge is a Trustee of the Village of Skokie and former Vice Chair of the Village of Skokie Plan Commission and has served as Legal Counsel to the Human Relations Commission. Earlier in his career, he served as a prosecutor in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. Mr. Lorge served as a mediator during the Niles Township High School strike. The Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun Times both applauded his work in editorials.

Mr. Lorge is admitted to practice before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the United States District Courts for Northern Illinois, Eastern Wisconsin and Western Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Illinois in 1974 and was designated as a James Scholar. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1977.
