Lori A. BerkoLori A. Berko practices mainly in the areas of residential and commercial real estate. Ms. Berko represents various clients including purchasers, sellers, landlords, tenants, condominium associations and developers of large scale residential projects. She represents condominium associations on various matters including condominium document preparation, and procurement of FHA condominium project approval. Ms. Berko handles short sale and foreclosure transactions and negotiates approval of first and second lien holders on behalf of short sale sellers. She is a solution-based practitioner and adapts her practice to correspond with the current real estate and lending environment. Ms. Berko also practices in the area of litigation handling various causes of action including real estate disputes, building related court actions and Forcible Entry and Detainer proceedings.

Ms. Berko graduated from The John Marshall Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in January 2006. She previously received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from The University of South Florida in 2000 followed by a Master of Social Work degree in 2002. Prior to joining Bronson & Kahn LLC, Lori worked as a real estate law clerk, and then as a real estate attorney with a small Chicago law firm. Lori is a member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Community Association Institute where she serves on the marketing committee. Lori also serves as a volunteer attorney for the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation assisting with foreclosure matters.
